The sixth in a series of "TGR Engine" pictures of the engines that appeared in The Great Race.
Representing North America is the blue and silver tender engine known as Vinnie. Big, strong and mean, he took part in the Strength Race and was seen bullying poor Philip after he accidentally blocked his way and got him under a coal chute. But he soon got his comeuppance when Thomas and Ashima saved Philip from him and the big engine crashed into a pylon, which fell on him.

Vinnie should have a Canadian flag in his name. His basis only worked on the Canadian National. Plus, his paint scheme is reminiscent of one a member of his class wore in 1939 for the Canadian Royal Train as shown here:
